On Monday after school we went to Kerikeri High to watch my big sister perform. We had to be there by six thirty pm to watch them perform. My nana and papa came along to watch my sister. My nana, papa, mum and my sister went in and the kids were practising. They came in and their kapa haka tutor was saying how their nana Blossom passed. The shell horn went off and they said the same karakia like we do and I actually got to say it. It was really fun because we got to see Troy Kingi’s son. It was really funny because some actions they were doing were pretty weird. I loved watching my sister perform but then I looked over my shoulder and I saw my nana crying and I got pretty sad. Have you ever performed on stage to do Kapa Haka and how was it?

Mind Blowing T- Ball
This term in Te Ngahere we have been learning how to play T-Ball. The rules for T-ball are you hit the ball off the T and you have to run to base one. A wonderful woman teaches us how to play T-ball, Her name is KC, you might have heard of her before, she is very nice. If the fielders catch the ball before you get to base one, then that's an out. Then the fielders get a point. If you get to the base before they catch the ball you’re safe. There are three bases you have to run to, the first base, then the second base, then the third base and you have to make it to the home base before it’s too late and then you get a point. I really enjoy T-ball and my favorite bit about T-ball is hitting the ball and running to the bases.
Have you ever heard of T-ball before?
