This week in Te Ngahere we've been learning new Te Reo Māori kupu. We are learning how to make a weather report about the weather here in Paihia. It was very hard to pronounce some kupu properly. We got to play Ika and memory with Te Reo cards about the weather and how to say the kupu . I love learning new kupu in Te Reo because it’s a very special language to New Zealand. Here is a slideshow with what the weather report is in Paihia normally. Have you said a weather report in Te Reo Māori?

Our Mind Blowing Time, Mass, Length and Distance Maths DLO!
This week in Te Ngahere we've been working in groups of three and two for our maths. We are learning about Time, Mass, Length and Distance. The people that are included in my group is Yazmin and Isabella. Judgment Calls is the name of the work that we are doing. It was very fun and interesting because we had to get a rock, string and swing it for 1 second, as well we made a mini trundle wheel that measures 0.5 metres with every complete turn. I hope you really enjoyed my maths DLO. Have you learnt about Mass, Length, Distance and time before?

The Extreme Poster and Mosaic Art
This week in Te Ngahere we've been making posters, animations and mosaic art for one of our amazing teachers, Whaea Becks, she went on a long holiday. She was snowboarding in the South Island but she got very hurt and broke her pelvis, she was on crutches for a little bit. I made two things for her, a puppy mosaic art and a poster about kindness to make her feel better. I hope she really likes what I made for her, I think that she will like it because she loves dogs and puppies and I think she would love my poster. Here is my poster and mosaic art I made for her. Have you done anything similar before?

The Extreme Rocket Launch
Last week as well this week in Te Ngahere we've been launching rockets. The reason why we are launching rockets is because it’s for the Wonder Project. I have a group of three with my two with my friends Fern, Yazmin and I. Our rocket is made out of 1.5 litre plastic bottles and cardboard for our fins. You are probably thinking our rockets go up to space but no just in the air. Troy is a engineer and Gustavo is a pomologist they come in every Wednesday, they get to see our rockets launch but not everyday. Have you made a rocket before?

The Extreme Kawa Of Care
Last week in Te Ngahere were learning the Kawa Of Care. We had to create a DLO, animation, Posters, slideshows about the Kawa Of Care. I really think that everybody should have a case for the chromebook and computers. If you are eating and drinking next to your chromebook lets say a fizzy tips on your chromebook then you WON'T! get insurance. As well if your holding your chromebook with one hand and you pretend to chuck it in the air your not going to get insurance because you have to hold your chromebook with two hands. Have you had insurance on your chromebook before?

We get to do exciting activities every week when Troy and Gustavo come on Wednesday . Have you ever launched a rocket before?

Fantastic Mosaic Art
Last week in Te Ngahere we were learning how to do mosaic art. The point of doing this was to make it look realistic and use their natural colours. At first I didn’t know much about mosaic art. I learnt that mosaic art is different shapes but they aren’t to close together. I also learnt that mosaic is a popular art. We did art like this in lockdown. We had to pick an animal or a person that inspires you or food and I picked a red and orange fox. I really liked how my mosaic art turned out but you really couldn’t see the paws on my fox. The easiest part was the eyes and the hardest part was the paws. Have you done mosaic art before?
