Fantastic Mosaic Art

Last week in Te Ngahere we were learning how to do mosaic art. The point of doing this was to make it look realistic and use their natural colours. At first I didn’t know much about mosaic art. I learnt that mosaic art is different shapes but they aren’t to close together. I also learnt that mosaic is a popular art. We did art like this  in lockdown. We had to pick an animal or a person that inspires you or  food and I picked a red and orange fox. I really liked how my mosaic art turned out but you really couldn’t see the paws on my fox. The easiest part was the eyes and the hardest part was the paws. Have you done mosaic art before?

Super Duper Fitness

Kia ora guys, Yesterday we did fitness on our school field, the point of our fitness is to keep fit and keep our body moving so were nice and healthy. I’m very excited for cross country and this fitness really helps my moving. Whaea shanna put 5 cones on the field and each cone had different fitness moves we had to do. The fitness moves were mountain climbing, squat jumps, crab walks, sit ups and ski jumps. The hardest one was mountain climbing and the easy one was crab walks.  We swapped our fitness moves and moved around the over cones. I love fitness so much and our wonderful teacher does it all for us. As well we got to listen to music and we got to pick a playlist. Do you have fitness or play games?

Lucky Friday

Last term on Friday we watched the movie Coco. You probably have heard of it but if you didn’t it’s a Mexican movie. There's this boy called Miguel and he loves music so much but his family hated it and they banned it from there lives. I love that movie so much as well on the second of the last day. We watched the Little Rascals and that movie is so funny. Have you watched Coco or the Little Rascals before?

Te Ngahere Amazing Tik Tok

Last Friday Te Ngahere learned two Tik tok dances. These two amazing year eights got us up they  taught us two Tik tok dances. I really like dancing but the  timing was very confusing. It  took us two weeks to practice this dance because everyone doesn't do Tik tok in my class. We all got the dance memorised in our head and then we knew it. After that the two year eights taught us another Tik tok dance. This time it was easy. We all learnt it in one day but they changed it up and it was hard. Here is the Tik tok video hope you enjoy the Tik tok dance. Have you done Tik tok at school before?

My Awesome Angles

This week in Te Ngahere we have been learning about Angles . We have been measuring angles and learning their names. It’s so much fun as well. I know what a 90 degree angle is. I've been working with my friend Jade we've been making a screencastify. This time it’s not about fractions it’s about angels. Obtuse angle and reflex angle was very hard but acute angle, straight angle, right angle and full rotation was easy. Jade and I will tell you how many degrees the angles are in the video. I hope you liked our screencastify as well our maths DLO. Have you done angles?

My Amazing Poupou Art

Kia ora this week in Te Ngahere we have been doing art and the type of art is poupou. We had to practice first on a A4 paper to sketch it out. When I finished my practice copy I went on my A3 paper which is bigger than the A4 paper. We had to sketch it again for our good copy the same as our other copy. It didn’t take me that long to sketch my poupou on the good copy but when it came to the vivid I was shaking a lot. After that I went on my pastels we had a colour wheel to pick our colours. I picked cool colours like green, blue, purple, yellow green and violet. For my mouth it was hard because we had to sketch a wide heart but the easiest was my body shape and my nose. For my background it’s warm colours like red, orange and yellow I hope you enjoyed my Have you sketched a poupou before?

Our Amazing Terrific Fractions

This week we have been learning our fractions. Jade and I love learning about fractions  sometimes it gets a little tricky but it's fun.  We keep learning and learning our factions we want to do more everyday but we can’t. If you don’t know what numerator and denominator is. The numerator tells you what is left and the denominator tells you how much was in the whole set. Here is a video you can watch I hope you enjoyed learning with us.
