Mind Blowing Chain Domino Effect Trick Shot
This week at school we have been doing another trick shot. It’s called chain domino effect we had to use our creative minds. We made a group of three here is the people in my group Yazmin, Fern and me. We had lots of ideas but my group and I didn’t think it would work. So since it is a domino effect we got our school stationery and some cardboard. We put the table and the desk together and set it up. First we put the domino effect up on the desk, we put glue sticks, a rubber and a highlighter. We put the cardboard on the side of the desk then we put some more cardboard on the chair. So since the glue stick can’t knock itself over we put a rubber on top of it. The ball was at the end of the highlighter and we made a slide with the cardboard. We knocked the rubber then all the pens came down and the ping pong ball went i the egg cartoon and IT WORKED! We were so happy it worked. Here is a video you can watch. Have you tried something similar to this?

Our Amazing Mind Blowing Trick Shot
This week at school we have been doing this challenge called trick shot. We made a group
of five people and used our creative minds. We made so many mistakes here is one we made. We had a idea we were going to bounce the ping pong ball off the picnic table and down our cardboard creation and into the cup but it didn’t work for a while. We kept on doing it and IT WORKED! We were so happy it worked but Whea Shanna came and told us it had to be 3 seconds. Well it wasn't 3 seconds exactly but it was 1 or 2 seconds. So we made another fantastic cardboard creation. So we got the box and cut it in half and taped the sides on the box and then we were ready to try that again. !IT FINALLY WORKED! It was 3 second straight. The strategy that were thinking about was the same person that bounced the ball will stay there as well the cardboard person. Have you tried to do this with a ping pong ball? Tuesday, May 19, 2020
My Amazing Terrific Math Eyes
WALT Yesterday we were learning how to use our maths eyes identify maths in the world around us.
In Te Ngahere we have been looking around with our math eyes like pattern shapes and what's the odd one out. We have been learning to see what patterns we could see in the gingerbread men. I learnt how to use my math eyes and actually looked around and see all those patterns and shapes. The strategy is really good to use your math eyes because you can actually see things. Do you have math eyes?
